Proving that Islam is the true religion
In response to a young man's question: Why is Islam the true religion? Dr. Zakir Naik answered.

Question .
Dr. Zakir has now given an explanation, and I accept and agree with it completely. I am not a Christian, but I am someone who believes that God must exist. Just as this mobile exists, it must have a creator, otherwise it would not exist in this world.
Likewise, I believe in God, but I do not have a religion. As Dr. Zakir said, any religion or worship other than Islam is a sin. But how do you convince me, a young man, that the true religion is only Islam and nothing else?
You say that people of other religions are wrong, and they say the same thing about you, and this happens between all religions.
The answer .
The brother asks a very good question.. His name is a Christian name if I heard correctly, but he is not a Christian, and he says that he believes in God with the same idea that the existence of a mobile phone means that it has a maker, so we must have a creator.
Very good, thank God. Congratulations on that.
But he asks how do you prove to me that I should follow Islam only?
This is a very good question... Brother, the word "Islam" is an Arabic word, maybe you don't know its meaning so let's ignore the Arabic meaning and put it aside, what you should follow is: Allah says in the Quran, Surah Al Imran, Surah 3, Verse 19 ((Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam))... The only religion that Allah accepts is Islam, and it is the peace gained from submitting the will to Allah Almighty.
If you believe in God and do not believe in religion, what does the word religion mean?
"Religion" means belief in the existence of a god. So if you believe in God and don't believe in religion, this is a contradiction. In the Oxford Dictionary, "religion" means belief in the existence of a higher power or god who is worthy of worship.
So if you believe in God, then you must obey Him. True or false? That's a different matter. Maybe you don't know which book is God's book. So if you believe in God, do you want to obey His commands or not?
Questioner:
Sure, but I have to be convinced first.
Dr. Zakir Naik:
I agree with you on that, but you have to obey the Creator.. And before that you have to know first what the Creator said, right? So, now the brother believes in the existence of the Creator and that he has to obey this Creator, and God says the same thing, that the only way of life acceptable to God is to submit your will to God.
But what you will submit to is a different question. Forget the term Muslim or Islam, the meaning of the word Muslim is: a person who submits his will to God. If you submit your will to God, in Arabic it means that you are a Muslim.
Calling yourself Zakir, Abdullah or Sultan, this will not make you a Muslim. If you say my name is Zakir, this is not enough to call me a Muslim. If someone says his name is Muhammad, this does not mean he is a Muslim. The meaning of the word Muslim is: a person who has attained peace through submission to God.
Do you want to know how this Quran is the true will of God that you should submit to? For this, you should watch the lecture (Is the Quran the Word of God?) in which I scientifically prove that this is the Word of God, the God in whom you and I believe, and this is the same Word of God.
So watch my lecture which is almost 4 hours long, I don't intend to give another 4 hour lecture now, and you can come tomorrow for the sermon Sharia means God's law.. The law of Islam (God's law is barbaric or perfect?)
If you listened to the lecture and were partially convinced, to get the full answer, watch the lecture (Is the Quran the Word of God?) and God willing, you will be convinced that Islam is the only correct way. Do not pay attention to the Arabic terminology, do not look at the people who do not follow it, and do not judge Islam by what its followers do.
If you want to evaluate a car, and the driver was reckless and crashed into the car, who is to blame: the driver or the car? The driver. So don't judge Islam by the actions of Muslims. Judge Islam by what the Quran says.
If you want to evaluate a car, you look at the catalog and the car’s capabilities in terms of safety, speed, etc.
Or by having a professional driver drive it, so if you want to see a human being representing the Qur’an, the best example is the last of the prophets and messengers, Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.
